A nanny or child care provider is a domestic staffing professional who provides care for one or more children in an Employer family. Key responsibilities of a Nanny include organizing and coordinating the children's activities, preparing their meals, and keeping their rooms and play areas clean. Additional duties might include driving, doing the children's laundry, performing light cleaning, doing light cooking, running errands, providing tutoring, etc.
Nannies, like other domestic workers, may live in or out of their Employer's residence, depending on their circumstances and those of their Employer. Professional Nannies are usually certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), qualified in First Aid, and have extensive experience in child care.
